Description:

Cat’s claw is a climbing vine, of the family of rubiáceos, Is located in Peruvian Amazon, between the 200 and 800 m.s.n.m.
It is a widely species distributed in the tropical zone of Central Selva (Chanchamayo, Satipo, Oxapampa, Codo del Pozuzo, Valle de los ríos Pichis, Palcazu y Pachitea, Bosque Nacional Alexander von Humboldt).

Properties: 

The principal propertie attached to catclaw is capability to raise the defenses of our body and prevent the development of cancerous tumors, also is a great stimulant of the immunologic system, posses antiinflammatory properties, antioxidants, anticoagulants, anti spasmodic and mil diuretic.

Several studies have shown that catclaws is an stimulant of the immune system in general, and specially in the fight against illness, from flu to herpes. It is therefore currently studying supply this plant as an adjunct in the treatment of HIV patients.
